The goal of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE) is to cultivate entrepreneurship. Whether it be through robust academic programs, professional advising, and international tradeshows, we are making an impact through innovation both on campus and in the community. Since its inception, IECE has counseled and trained nearly 150,000 existing and aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, and students which had an economic impact of $338.5 million within the Inland Empire and beyond!

NEW ERC Locations Are Here to Serve & Support

The newly created Entrepreneurial Resource Center (ERC), led by CSUSB’s Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE), will provide an easily accessible hub for small business support services, centrally located within our two counties. Business development support for startups and existing businesses alike - The Entrepreneurial Resource Center (ERC) will host program offerings by bringing together a wide range of entrepreneurial support organizations to provide training, technical assistance, and access to resources for small business owners and entrepreneurs in the Inland Southern California region.

Palm Desert iHub to Expand and Grow Under New Leadership from IECE and School of Entrepreneurship!

On January 1, 2024, the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE) and School of Entrepreneurship assumed operations of the Palm Desert iHub. The Palm Desert iHub, powered by the City of Palm Desert and IECE/School of Entrepreneurship, is an innovation focused business resource center and incubator for aspiring and existing entrepreneurs and small business owners in Palm Desert and the greater Coachella Valley. The partnership leverages CSUSB's renowned expertise in entrepreneurship education and innovation alongside the city's commitment to cultivating a thriving business environment. IECE and the School of Entrepreneurship team are bringing a new vision to the iHub, with the intent to increase programs and services available to the community while bringing together a wide range of entrepreneurial support organizations to provide training, technical assistance, and access to resources for small business owners and entrepreneurs. The iHub is located across the street from the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus at 37023 Cook Street, Suite 102.

Campus Initiatives & Community Outreach

IECE coordinates academic programs that lead to business degrees in entrepreneurship for undergraduate and graduate students as well as delivers experiential learning and student support programs such as the Garner Holt Fast Pitch Competition, Lunch with an Entrepreneur events, CSUSB Innovation Challenge, Catalyst Student Venture Fund and the Spirit of the Entrepreneur scholarship.

In the community, IECE meets the needs of existing and startup entrepreneurs by offering business consulting services, student internship resources, and entrepreneurial training programs that help them achieve greater levels of success in their business ventures.
